Disco
Personal Project | Illustrator and Photoshop
One day on a walk I took in Amsterdam, I walked past a guy wearing a graphic t-shirt that said:
DISCO
NNEC
TION
Immediately I knew I needed to make a sarcastic design that played on the concept of putting the “disco” in [a long word that contains “disco”], and came up with “Have you been feeling down, blue, and/or dissatisfied with life lately? Put the Disco in Discontentment to add some fun, funky freshness to your enduring existential ennui today!” (I like alliteration). Next came putting together the visual. I went to StockCafe to find some royalty-free AI generated stock images. created a swirly gradient background panel and made the word “Disco” 3D in Illustrator, and put everything together in Photoshop, finishing with a paper texture.
I created mockups in Photoshops using free mockup .psd files from royalty-free resource libraries. Finally, I put together the anatomy of a poster infographic in figma.
